| 02/11/12 | Mark Chaffee | Belle Plaine, Iowa | Needed to get out of a gas hog...and into a car that is fun and allows me to be 'in' the world...instead of simply moving through it. I wanted to find a Toyota Celica GT convertible, as I had one before, and I knew the sort of gas mileage and maintenance costs I encountered with that car...and such a car popped up on Bobby's site through AutoTrader.com. Bobby's marketing through the AutoTrader site worked great for me, because I wouldn't have know he existed otherwise. I had watched for months, and the right configuration, price, and condition of car...not to mention mileage...was sitting there on Bobby's lot. After calling and talking with him...I was excited, because I love these small convertibles. Bobby knew I was going to come into North Carolina from Iowa, pick up the car, and immediately put it on the road...so he put the effort into make sure it was road worthy, and could handle getting back to Iowa. I took the long road, through Virgina, DC, Delaware, Philly, Harrisburg, Erie, and on to the I-90 - I-80 express...10 days...freezing weather, snow, and 75mph driving.
I averaged 31 mpg. No problems with the car. Great pick-up, great handling. One of those days, I had the top down! Flawless...across 2100 miles of driving to get through my journey.
Bobby didn't just take the time to make sure I had a good, safe product to drive home. He turned out to be a fun, funny and fascinating human being. We talked and talked, laughed, and shared stories...and it was tough to just walk away because it felt like we had just started to really enjoy each other's stories and perceptions of entrepreneurial delight. Creative, inventive, and driven. Great guy...great cars...great business model.

| 03/11/12 | Jim McMahon | Huntersville, North Carolina | I found the car I looking for - a 2008 Toyota Avalon Limited w/ only 28.000 miles. The price that Bobby had listed for the vehicle was below the blue book value and below other advertised Avalons of similar vintage. Bobby gave me the keys and let me take it to my Toyota mechanics (M&J Automotive) for an inspection. The car checked out great and ran great. When I tried to load CD's in the 6 CD changer, though, I could not get it to work. Bobby said he would take care of it. After attempting for hours to repair it, he told me he could only get it to take 4 CD's, but that it choked when he loaded the 5th CD. He then searched nationwide until he found an identical unit, replaced it and tested it. It works geat. The replacement cost him $500 out of pocket and Bobby never changed the quoted price. I have purchased a number of used cars in the past 20 years. Most used car dealers would have said that the car is being sold "as is", including the CD changer. Not Bobby. He told me that he would have done the same thing if I had brought the car back to him 30 days later - that is the way he does business. This is the first time I have purchased a car from Bobby, but after this experience it won't be the last. He will be the first place I go to look for a used vehicle and the first place I will refer family and friends. |

Just a short note to say thank you a bunch. The 2005 Lincoln Town Car showed up Monday March 31, 2014 at my carriers yard (AT Auto Repair & Transport) and it was love at first trip. Let me explain. I live in Orland, CA about 100 miles North of Sacramento, CA and drove that baby home in about one and a half hours in a blinding rain storm.
I have always been a fan of Town Cars but have never had the feel of heft, protection, stability, comfort and smooth as I had in the Linc. It was every bit as nice as you promised and much more.
I must mention Alex, the transport owner driver, was just great and can’t thank you enough for working with Jennifer Supczak of JS Transport Services. You said it would be Monday or Tuesday and Alex had us in Sacramento for the pick up Monday at noon.
I was looking at a lot of Lincs, Bobby, along with yours and I’m sorry I waited as long as I did to make the choice. You have been great.
I know you have not received the nuts I promised yet, as I left them with my grand daughter to be mailed and just found out today they have not been. Thus making me eat my words that the nuts were in the mail. Be patient Bob the nuts are in the mail.

If you want to purchase a car from Bobby he will do everything he can to help you do it. If you don't, he is fine with that. No pushy sales reps, no harrassing phone calls or emails. Once Bobby patiently finished answering all our questions and describing the vehicle and the process and we made the deal, he had the car shipped to us. Purchasing a car sight unseen and having it shipped hundreds or thousands of miles can be very stressful. Not when you deal with Bobby. You know the first time you speak to him, YOU CAN TRUST BOBBY. The transaction went very smoothly, the vehicle was delivered in good shape and in a timely manner. Now let's talk about the vehicle. AMAZING BEAUTY. Everything Bobby said it would be and MORE. Mechanically beautiful, cosmetically beautiful. I have never been happier with a vehicle or a vehicle purchase transaction and on top of it all, we now have a new friend and will return to Bobby to purchase vehicles for us and for family members each time the need arises. |

He was more than willing to give me the history of the car and encouraged me to do my own research to see if this truly was the car for me. Bobby started our conversation by saying "Whether you buy it or not, we are still friends" and I truly feel he meant the words that he said.
Bobby let me borrow the car for a half a day while I went through and go various inspections and just as he said, the inspections came back showing the car was in pristine condition. By the end of the second day, I had to put Bobby to work on documentation for the car because I brought him a check to purchase it.

Price was great and car looked great. He told me to go look at it in back of shop. And he left me alone to look at in peace. I asked him he would take lower $ amount. He said no, deal was already there. Which he was right on about 2-3000 cheaper than anywhere else. I asked him if I could take it to my mechanic? He said sure and let me drive away without any problem at all for half a day, he totally trusted me. Car was in excellent shape. Asked him again if he would take lower (figured would not hurt to ask) , he said no again as it was a deal already. Gave him cashier's check and he takes care of all state fees and title transfer and license plate mailings to you, awesome. Ended up spending an hour just talking about life in general with him and really enjoyed his company. Felt like I gained a friend. He invited me back to go to lunch with him sometime, which I will definitely do . I asked about any warranty, he said if anything major breaks in next thirty days he will do the right thing and take care of it. He is a little gruff and straight forward. Some people may not like that style, but I personally like it to know where people are coming from and tell it like it is, no sugar coating. True blue gentleman. I offered him $18,500 for the beautiful low-mileage hyper blue Subaru listed for $17,900 as a holding fee. Not only did Bobby hold the car for me without hesitation, but he turned down my higher offer and stuck to his list price. Who does that?!
Upon meeting Bobby, I immediately felt reassured and comfortable with doing business with him. He trusts people and you can trust him. Right away, Bobby Pence met me with tremendous respect and courtesy. He treated me like a friend would, and he'll treat you that way, as well. He doesn't drape himself all over you like you'll find at most dealerships. Bobby lets the car do the talking. He'll stay out of your way, let you test the car out, and answer your questions if you have any. If you find anything that needs attention -- before or after a sale, he'll make it right. For example,when the disc player wasn't working correctly in the car I liked, he asked for a couple extra days -- not to fix it, but so he could get a new one. Sure enough, in a few days I went back and there was a new, factory disc player installed and the old one on a table in the shop. Since Bobby had given me a price beforehand, I wasn't sure what the new radio now meant for the price of the car. I don't like those uncomfortable moments wondering how to talk price. But Bobby makes sure your are comfortable. He didn't bat an eyelash. The price stayed exactly the same. He just wants to treat you like you'd like to be treated. He is not looking to make thousands of dollars on a sale. He finds great, low mileage cars and sells them at a fair price. All of this is why I recently came back and bought a second car. You'll find less expensive cars elsewhere, but you won't find better cars than at Auto Brokers. Thanks Bobby! |

I was looking for a car for my daughter and found a 2004 Honda Accord that Bobby had listed. Gave the car a test drive and everything seemed fine so we bought it, but then driving home it started shifting funny and the engine light came on. Called Bobby and told him what was going on, and he asked me to bring the car back so he could look at it, who does this? He replaced the faulty parts, and even identified an issue with the brake light sensor that caused the shifter too intermittently lock in park and he replaced that too. Bottom line is he didn’t have to do any of this, I purchased the car 'As Is', and most dealers would have just said 'Oh Well' if you called them after the sale. My daughter loves the car and I know we will have this a long time. First place I will look going forward if we need another car. Bobby does what is right and sells cars As Is Expected. |
